Enlighten Me!

       In todays society, we have the right to free speech. Voltaire, who was an enlightened thinker, believed strongly in free speech. We now have that. No one can tell use otherwise.
       Also, the government does not put limintations on our behavior. We are free to act how we want to act now. Rousseau was a strong believer in this. He influenced both political and social thinkers for 200 years.
       Wolfstonecraft was a strong political women. She spoke for womens rights, when, back then, women were saw as being under men. Now women are treated as equals.
       Smith believed in the free market. He argued that the free market should be allowed to regulate business activity. Today, people can own companies, make theirown products and sell it at any price they wanted to sell it at. The government has no say in what price or what item should someone sell. This is what Smith was talking about.
