Greek Mythology

Greek mythology is the mythology of Ancient Greece. It was mostly based on different gods and stories inorder to explain things like life and death, sunrise and sunset, etc. There is an endless collection of these stories. These stories are very old. The oldest written works go as far back as 8th century B.C. The 12 main Greek gods lived on Mt.Olympus.
They were led by Zeus and his wife, Hera. In Greek mythology Zeus was, of course, king. King of the heavans, Earth, and all of Olympian gods. Not only was he named for all of these things, but he was also thought of as god of Justice. Zeus(known as Jupiter in Romen mythology) became King of the Heavens, and etc. when he overthrew the god Cronus and the Titans. Some of the other gods were Demeter, Persphone, Hades, Hephaestus, Po Athena, Dionysus, Aphrodite, Apollo, and Artemis.
